Tirene Padget Biography

B.A., B.H.K., C.B.T.S., T.T.D., C.S.E.P-C.P.T., Affiliated Kinesiologist

Originally from the Maritimes, Tirene received her Teacher Training Diploma from the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. She then went on to complete a B.A. in Dance Science and Education at York University and a B.H.K. in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. Her passion for movement and education led her to acquire her Teaching Certification with the Royal Academy of Dance and the Society of Classical Ballet Vaganova Method, where she is a Registered Teaching Member in both methods. 

Tirene is also a Kinesiologist and a Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT), enabling her to extend her expertise from rehabilitation settings into her teaching. She is passionate about teaching injury prevention/treatment for dancers, and takes pride in helping students discover more efficient ways of moving. She has trained pre-professional, competitive, and recreational level dancers across Canada, and established a name for herself as “The Dance Kinesiologist” (@the.dance.kin). It is her belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their optimal abilities, regardless of age and training background.
